Ladies Football News   14/09/2018

The U10 ladies’ football season finished up with the girls playing Ilen Rovers in Rossa Park. Great teamwork and football skills were shown by the girls, who have improved so much in every match. Thanks went to the players and their parents for contributing to a super year.

Skibb U12 girls were beaten in the county quarter-final by a physically-stronger Donoughmore side, who are Mid Cork champions. The score was 5-6 to 4-11. Many of the Skibb team are U12 again next year. 

The U13 girls had a super win in the West Cork semi-final beating Rosscarbery in extra time by 8-12 to 6-15. 

Skibbereen U16 girls had a hard battle against Ballinora in the county semi-final, going down by 4-9 to 2-9. They played well but were just beaten by a very good side.

The junior ladies had a great win in their replay West Cork semi-final. They beat Courcey Rovers by 3-11 to 1-9.

The minor ladies played Valley Rovers last Friday at home. They won by 3-6 to 0-5. 

And, they also played Kinsale on Sunday away. The girls were down 1-5 to 2-9 at half time, but played absolutely outstandingly in the second half to win by 6-16 to 3-12.
